Herbed Quark Cream - Kräuterquark

By Jennifer McGavin, About.com

This quark cream is often served at restaurants to spread on the appetizer bread, or with baked or boiled potatoes, or even hard-boiled eggs.

If you can’t find chervil, don’t worry. This quark tastes great without it, too. You can even get creative with your own herbs.

Makes 2 cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minute

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz quark or yogurt cheese (about 2 cups)
  • 2 T sour cream or crème fraiche
  • 5 T milk
  • 1 T fresh chervil, chopped
  • 1 T fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 T fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 T fresh chives, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Coarsely ground pepper to taste

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients together until smooth, and chill until serving.

Serve with Baked Potatoes.
