Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

  • ***Mushrooms***
  • 1 lb. small button mushrooms
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 T. oil
  • ***Sauce***
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 3 T. chopped, fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt or to taste
  • A few drops Worcester sauce

Clean the mushrooms. If they are large, halve them or quarter them (as in the picture).

Melt the butter in a frying pan and heat the oil with it. Add the mushrooms and sauté until the mushrooms are browned and have shrunk.

While the mushrooms are cooking: In a smaller frying pan, heat the butter and cook the finely chopped onion until it just begins to turn brown. Add the garlic and sauté for one minute.

Stir in the cream and bring to a boil. Cook until slightly reduced and thick. Stir in parsley, lemon pepper, salt and Worcester sauce to taste.

Serve sauce with sautéed mushrooms.
