This is how I arranged the oven and racks to bake baguettes. Note there is no baking stone because I do not own one.

The top rack is at the second level in the oven and the bottom rack is on the lowest level. The old roasting pan is on the lower rack and the cookie sheet with parchment (demonstration only) is placed on the top rack.
